This ammonite is a very fine specimin showing detailed sutures and some natural irridescence. It is a bit over one and a quarter inches long and is well secured in a micro macrame setting and threaded onto an adjustable length woven cotton cord with tiger eye, ebony wood and coconut shell beads.
The small flashes of fiery irridescence come from the formation of a natural organic gemstone known as ammolite, but the main feature of this ammonite is the detailed visible sutures, which are sections created during the formation of the shell.
All the items in this shop are handmade by me with great love and great care in my little studio on the Isle of Wight (well, sometimes I make them on the beach as well), a beautiful little island off the south coast of England.
