Pirate glass necklace, old historic seaglass pendant in macrame setting with prehnite beads FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE
Pirate glass macrame necklace with piece of historic sea glass in a micro macrame setting with two prehnite beads, ebony wood and coconut shell beads. Threaded onto an adjustable length woven cotton cord.
The piece of pirate glass on this necklace is a bit over one and a quarter inches long and is secured in an intricate micro macrame setting knotted to my own design. Please see the second image for the glass with a bright light shining through it. It also has three bubbles in it, which I love. These bubbles are characteristic of very old, hand blown glass.
Pirate glass is sea glass which is hundreds of years old and has slowly been worn into pleasingly smooth shapes by the sea. It appears black until you shine a bright light through it (the torch on a phone is best, as it is small and incredibly bright). It washes up along the very old shipping routes and is hard to find as on the beach it looks like a pebble. It takes a while to learn to spot it, but once you get your eye in you can find two or three good pieces in one trip, if you know the right spots to look! I collect my pirate glass along the south coast of the Isle of Wight. It is time consuming, but a real thrill every time I find a piece.
This necklace is one of a kind and you will always be sent the one in the current pictures. All items come with free shipping unless specifically stated otherwise and are shipped in one to three business days using Royal Mail.
Thank you for looking. Peace.
