Pirate glass necklace, old historic seaglass with blue coral and wood beads FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE
Handmade pirate glass macrame necklace with blue coral and wood beads and small coconut shell spacer beads. Threaded onto an adjustable length woven cotton cord.
The piece of pirate glass on this necklace is a little over one inch long and doesn’t require a very bright light to show how bright green it is, despite it being quite thick. This is still pirate glass, but I think it comes from a slightly different type of bottle. It is secured in an intricate micro macrame setting knotted to my own design. Please see the second image for the glass with a light shining through it.
Pirate glass is seaglass which is many hundreds of years old and has slowly been worn into pleasingly smooth shapes by the sea. It usually appears black until you shine a bright light through it (the torch on a phone is best, as it is small and incredibly bright). This piece is slightly lighter and brighter than the other pieces I have found, but is still definitly very old. It is hard stuff to find as on the beach it looks like a pebble. It takes a while to learn to spot it, but once you get your eye in you can find two or three pieces in one trip, if you know the right spots to look! I collect my pirate glass along the south coast of the Isle of Wight. It is time consuming, but a real thrill every time I find a piece.
This necklace is one of a kind and you will always be sent the one in the current pictures. All items come with free shipping unless specifically stated otherwise and are shipped in one to three business days using Royal Mail.
Thank you for looking. Peace.
