Large naturally iridescent ammonite macrame pendant, stunning fossil ammolite jewellery, with four pearls FREE SHIPPING WORLDWIDE
Large naturally iridescent rainbow ammonite with lovely flash. This recent batch of ammonites contains some of the best specemins I have had, and they are making stunning jewellery! This natural fossil is one and five eighths of an inch long. The shining iridescence is due to the formation of ammolite during the fossilisation process, ammolite is an opal-like gemstone of organic origin. There is an area of imperfection on the surface of this ammonite, but I don’t think it matters, the fire in it is beautiful!
The micro macrame pendant is threaded onto an adustable length woven cotton cord with four unusual colour pearls, wood and coconut shell beads.
It is hard to capture the fire of these ammonites with a camera. This one flashes red through yellow through green. For some reason it is even more radiant under artificial light, although it looks great in the sunshine too!
All the items in this shop are handmade by me with great love and great care in my little studio on the Isle of Wight (well, sometimes I make them on the beach as well), a beautiful little island off the south coast of England.
