Fossil shark tooth from the Otodus Obliquus giant shark of the Eocene period. This ancient creature was an ancestor of the megalodon and lived 40-60 million years ago. They grew up to 32 feet long! I have wrapped the tooth and given it a macrame loop, it is threaded onto an adjustable length woven cotton cord with turquoise, amber coloured horn, wood and coconut shell beads.

The tooth is one and a half inches long.

I use a lot of fossils in my work. I mostly buy them in at the moment, but I have started to collect my own, so we will see if I can incorporate them into my work too!

All the items in this shop are handmade by me with great love and great care in my little studio on the Isle of Wight (well, sometimes I sit and make them on the beach too), a beautiful little island off the south coast of England. This item is one of a kind and you will be sent the one in the picture.

All items have free shipping unless specifically stated otherwise. Items will be shipped within three working days using Royal Mail.

Thank you for looking. Peace.
