Large flame treated agate macrame necklace with micro macrame pendant threaded onto a strong, woven cotton cord with agate, ebony wood and little polished coconut shell beads. The piece of agate is one and five eighths of an inch long and is securely held in a macrame setting knotted to my own design.
This amazing coloured stone is not dyed. The natural colours are enhanced by heating the agate with fire which brings out the vibrant rusty orange and causes faint, crackle effect patterns. I absolutely love this stone, it is so amazing. I have a few of them but the arc of white on this one is particularly striking.
All the items in this shop are handmade by me with great love and great care in my little studio on the Isle of Wight (well, sometimes I sit and make them on the beach too), a beautiful little island off the south coast of England.
